London police crack $1.30 million crypto scam, five men arrested

The Metropolitan Police have arrested five men between the ages of 21 and 37 on suspicion of defrauding more than $1.30 million through a fake cryptocurrency investment website that police said could have lured thousands of victims around the world. Investigations revealed that the suspects ran "telemarketing rooms" that used fake trading platforms, celebrity endorsements and other means to guide victims to continue investing in fictitious token projects.
