US President Donald Trump hosted a fundraising dinner at the White House on Wednesday night to raise funds for his new White House ballroom, which he proposed in July and is expected to cost $250 million. Attendees included Gemini co-founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, as well as executives from Coinbase and Ripple. The ballroom is expected to add about 8,361 square meters of space to the White House. In addition to crypto companies, representatives from Meta, Google, Amazon, Lockheed Martin and Microsoft also attended the dinner.
