Kraken-incubated Ethereum Layer 2 solution Ink has officially launched a crypto lending protocol called Tydro. The protocol is a custom white label instance of Aave v3, supports INK tokens, and will serve as "core infrastructure for DeFi on Ink".
Kraken has announced plans to integrate Tydro into its core centralized exchange offering, "enabling customers to more seamlessly access DeFi opportunities." Tydro will inherit Aave's proven lending engine while introducing a $INK-based incentive structure designed specifically for the Ink ecosystem.
The agreement will initially support a non-custodial lending market that includes assets such as wETH, kBTC, and stablecoins such as USDG, USDT0, and GHO, with future plans to support income-based assets and liquidity staked tokens.
