Treasuries edged higher on Wednesday on expectations that the Federal Reserve will continue to cut interest rates and investors bought safe haven assets. A 10-year Treasury yield below 4 per cent would be the lowest since early April; two-year yields are close to where they were three years ago. Fed Chairperson Jerome Powell said the central bank could cut interest rates again this month due to signs of economic weakness. He also hinted that the Federal Reserve may soon end its balance sheet reduction operation, which also boosted the trend of Treasury bonds.
