HKMA Announces List of Participants in the Second GenA.I. Sandbox

HKMA and Hong Kong Cyberport Management Limited have announced the list of participants in the second phase of the Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenA.I.) Sandbox. Out of more than 60 proposals, 27 use cases from 20 banks and 14 technology partners were invited to participate in the second phase of the GenA.I. Sandbox. The second phase of the sandbox program focuses on actively strengthening AI governance, with multiple use cases adopting the "AI versus AI" strategy, such as using AI to automate quality inspection of AI-generated content to improve system accuracy and consistency in a more scalable manner. Sandbox participants will start logging on to the exclusive platform of the Cyberport Artificial Intelligence Supercomputing Center later this year, and technology testing is expected to begin in early 2026.
