French banking giant ODDOBHF launches euro stablecoin EUROD, entering the cryptocurrency market

According to CoinDesk, French banking giant ODDOBHF has officially entered the cryptocurrency space by announcing the launch of EUROD, a euro-backed stablecoin. The bank manages more than 150 billion euros (approx. $173 billion) in assets. EUROD will go live on the Madrid-based cryptocurrency platform Bit2Me, which is backed by major institutions such as telecom giant Telefonica and banking giants Unicaja and BBVA. The stablecoin is compliant with European Union MiCA regulatory requirements and is available to retail and institutional users.
