Privacy Pools Launches New Tornado Cash Tool That Allows Users to Avoid Illegal Fund Links Anonymously

The crypto privacy project Privacy Pools team 0xbow has launched the "Tornado Cash Proof of Association" tool, which enables Tornado Cash users to decouple funds from illegal activities while remaining anonymous. The system verifies whether the withdrawal address is related to a known illegal address through zero-knowledge technology, and records legitimate users in a public regedit without exposing personal information. Currently, the blacklist has flagged more than 16,000 addresses involving theft, hacking or phishing. The team says this is an important step between protecting user privacy and compliance regulation, and also provides a practical model for future privacy and compliance interoperability.
