Hyperliquid will enable HIP-3 later today in its network upgrade, which is designed to enable permissionless deployments in the sustainable future market.
HIP-3 is an important improvement proposal for Hyperliquid. Before that, only the core team could launch a perpetual contract market, while HIP-3 allows any user who pledges 1 million HYPE to deploy their own market directly on the chain. This move breaks the limitations of the previous perpetual contract decentralized exchange (perp DEX) that could only trade mainstream cryptocurrencies. Users can create and list derivatives markets for various assets including stocks, commodities, foreign exchange, prediction markets, and more.
