Ministry of Commerce: Urges the US to correct its wrong practices as soon as possible and resolve their respective concerns through dialogue

On October 10, Eastern Time, the United States announced that it will impose 100% tariffs on China and implement export controls on all key software in response to the export controls on rare earths and other related items adopted by China.
The Ministry of Commerce said: China has taken note of the relevant situation. Regarding the tariff war, China's position is consistent. We are unwilling to fight it, but we are not afraid to fight it. China urges the US to correct its wrong practice as soon as possible, take the important consensus reached by the two heads of state during the phone call as the guide, safeguard the hard-won consultation results, continue to play the role of the China-US economic and trade consultation mechanism, resolve their respective concerns through dialogue on the basis of mutual respect and equal consultation, properly manage and control differences, and maintain the stable, healthy and sustainable development of China-US economic and trade relations. If the US side insists on going its own way, China will also resolutely take corresponding measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests. (Xinhua News Agency)
