Coinbase plans to launch a brand new American Express card in the US this fall. The card uses hexadecimal data from the Bitcoin genesis block to pay homage to the origins and philosophy of cryptocurrencies. The product is available only to Coinbase One subscribers and offers up to 4% Bitcoin cashback, adjusted depending on the assets held. Cardholders do not have to pay offshore transaction fees and can use their bank accounts on the platform or cryptocurrencies to repay the balance.
