According to a representative of the Luxembourg Financial Center Development Agency, a sovereign wealth fund in the country has allocated 1% of its assets to bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), becoming the first national fund in the euro area to make such investments.
Luxembourg's finance minister Gilles Roth said the country's intergenerational sovereign wealth fund (FSIL) has allocated 1% of its assets to bitcoin. Under the revised framework, the fund (FSIL) is authorized to invest up to 15% of its assets in alternative investments, including cryptocurrencies.
