UK to appoint'head of digital markets' to drive financial marekt tokenisation

According to Bloomberg, the UK government will create a "Head of Digital Markets" position to lead and coordinate the private sector's work on the tokenization of wholesale financial marekt. Lucy Rigby, Minister of State for Economic Affairs at the Treasury, said the position will promote the use of blockchain technology to enable the tokenization of assets such as traditional stocks and bonds.
