Congressional Budget Office: Budget deficit $1.80 trillion last fiscal year

Congressional Budget Office (CBO): The United States is expected to have a budget surplus of $164 billion in September. The fiscal year 2025 (12 months ending September 30) is expected to have a budget deficit of $1.809 trillion, compared with a deficit of $1.817 trillion in fiscal year 2024. Fiscal year 2025 revenue rose 6% to $5.22 trillion; fiscal spending rose 3% to $7.035 trillion.
