Industry initiative Time2Build is paying developers to integrate the Breez Bitcoin Lightning Network Software Development Kit (SDK) into existing open-source projects, with the aim of driving lasting adoption rather than short-term experimentation. Only code accepted by project maintainers will be rewarded to ensure that Lightning Network features truly benefit users
Breez's partners for Time2Build include lightning internet company Lightspark, stablecoin giant Tether, and bitcoin education company Plan Network. The bonus pool is funded by Breez and his partner companies, and DraperU and PlebLab offer special residency as an added bonus.
According to official documentation, the Breez API "provides an end-to-end solution for developers to integrate self-hosted Lightning Network into their applications and services." In other words, it allows developers to integrate Lightning Network more easily without handing over control of assets to a third party.
