Bitcoin broke through $125,700 on Sunday, setting a new record. At the same time, bitcoin balances on centralized exchanges fell to multi-year lows. According to Glassnode data, the balance of exchanges is only about 2.83 million, the lowest in six years; CryptoQuant statistics are even lower, at 2.45 million, the lowest in seven years. Both platforms show that BTC exchange balances have fallen sharply in the past few weeks, Glassnode pointed out that more than 114,000 BTC (about $14 billion) have left exchanges in the past two weeks. Analysts believe that the shift of funds to self-custodial and institutional accounts shows that the confidence of holding coins has increased, and the tightening of supply may become a driving force for prices to continue to rise.
