On October 4th, SBF said in an interview published Friday by the news outlet Mother Jones that his "biggest mistake" during the $8 billion bankruptcy was to hand over control of the company to new management - a decision he claims cost him the opportunity to save the company at the last minute. SBF said it received a phone call minutes after signing the transfer of control agreement, saying there was a potential outside investment that could save the company from bankruptcy, but it was too late to withdraw the signature.
It is reported that two days before FTX filed for bankruptcy protection on November 9, Sullivan & Cromwell (S & C) attorney Andrew Dietderich sent an email to SBF proposing to hire Ray as chief restructuring officer. After being appointed as the new CEO, Ray filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on November 11, 2022, and hired law firm S & C to provide legal assistance in the litigation process. (Cointelegraph)
