"The amount of user-generated video content has far exceeded our expectations, and many videos have a very small audience," Altman, chief executive of OpenAI, said in a blog post. "We have to make the video generation business profitable in some way." Altman said the company plans to share some of the revenue with copyright owners who want users to generate their characters.
