Due to the "shutdown" of the US government since Wednesday, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics failed to release the US non-farm payroll report for September at 20:30 Beijing time as scheduled. This is the first time this has happened since 2013. That year, the government shutdown caused the non-farm payroll report originally scheduled for October 4 to be released as scheduled, and it was finally delayed for nearly three weeks to October 22. This week, the economic data that was not released due to the US government shutdown also includes: the number of initial jobless claims, the monthly rate of construction expenditure, the monthly rate of factory orders and the monthly rate of durable goods orders. According to US media reports, the US Senate will vote again on the temporary appropriation bill to extend federal government funds on the 3rd. If it fails to pass, the federal government "shutdown" may continue until next week. (Jin Ten)
