Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley said that Solana may have an advantage over Ethereum in the pledged exchange-traded fund (ETF) market, and its design features are more investor-friendly.
In an interview at the Token2049 conference in Singapore, Horsley pointed to Solana's shorter unstaking cycle as a major advantage over Ethereum. For example, Ethereum's withdrawal queue has recently reached new highs, while Solana's withdrawal queue usually clears faster. Horsley said this difference is critical for ETF issuers because they must be able to return assets to investors quickly.
"It's a big problem," Mr. Horsley said. "ETFs need to be able to return assets to investors in a very short period of time, so [Ethereum's withdrawal delay] is a big challenge."
