Bitcoin Lending Platform Lava Completes $17.50 million Funding, Former Visa, Block Executives Participate

Lava, a platform that specializes in bitcoin-backed lending, announced that it has completed a $17.50 million Series A expansion funding round and simultaneously launched a new dollar-based income product. The funding round was backed by several angel investors, including Peter Jurdjevic of the Qatar Investment Authority and former executives of Visa and Block (formerly Square). Lava's previous Series A funding round was led by Peter Thiel's Founders Fund and Khosla Ventures.
