Star: OKX Pay is committed to becoming a stablecoin liquidity center, starting from Singapore and covering the global market

On September 30, during the "The New Money Era" theme event at the OKX Alphas Summit, OKX CEO Star, CMO Haider Rafique, and OKX SG CEO Gracie Lin jointly attended the "OKX Pay" theme roundtable conversation. When talking about the important trend of on-chain payment in the future, Star said that OKX Pay will take the lead in launching related services from the Singapore market. In the future, about 80% of Singapore merchants will support PayNow QR code payment, and users can enjoy 3% to 4% rebates during use. In addition, OKX will also launch a debit card jointly issued with partners to support users to pay in Singapore and globally. In the future, OKX plans to expand this business to markets such as Brazil, Europe, and the United States as soon as possible. Star emphasizes that users can not only make free payments during global travel through OKX Pay and wallets, but also enjoy higher APY than most banks and better transaction rebates.
Star said that the vision of OKX on-chain payment is that users can convert funds into stablecoins and deposit them on OKX Pay, and the funds will automatically generate income, and users will need almost no operation. At present, OKX supports several stablecoins and plans to gradually expand more options. To this end, OKX has launched a stablecoin strategy and is committed to becoming a liquidity center for all stablecoins. Users can use USDG, USDC and the upcoming PYUSD to make transactions and payments on the OKX APP, and realize the integration of on-chain stablecoin payment and income.
