OKX Singapore launches stablecoin payment service at local GrabPay merchants

OKX, a cryptocurrency exchange, said on Tuesday that it had launched a service in Singapore that allows its customers to use stablecoins to pay merchants on ride-hailing operator Grab's payment platform. Through a service called OKX Pay, users who pay in USDC or USDT stablecoins are first converted to XSGD, a stablecoin backed by the Singapore dollar issued by StraitsX, and merchants are then paid in Singapore dollars.
