Market analysis: Weak dollar exacerbates inflation concerns

Apollo analyst Torsten Slok wrote that upward pressure on U.S. inflation comes not only from tariffs and immigration restrictions, but also from continued dollar depreciation. The dollar has depreciated by nearly 10 percent this year, he said, and the Federal Reserve's U.S. economic model finds that a 10 percent depreciation leads to a 0.3 percent increase in inflation.
