Gold rallied on Monday to set another record high on the back of a weaker dollar and expectations that the Federal Reserve could continue to cut interest rates later this year. Traders now see a 90% chance of the Fed cutting rates in October and about a 65% chance of a rate cut in December, according to CME Fed Watch. Investors are waiting for U.S. job openings, private jobs data, ISM manufacturing PMI and Friday's non-farm payrolls report for further clues about the health of the economy. (Jin Ten)
