Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan said on his blog that Hong Kong's financial marekt has performed well this year. For example, the total amount of new shares raised (IPO) has so far approached HK $150 billion, ranking first in the world, and the participation of international long-term funds has increased significantly. Hong Kong stocks are in a good mood, with the Hang Seng Index rising by more than 30% this year; trading has reached a record high, with the average daily turnover exceeding HK $250 billion. In the first eight months of this year, the refinancing amount of listed companies was nearly three times that of IPO fundraising, reflecting the depth and active level of the Hong Kong market. He continued that the active new shares, capital accumulation and strong trading have also benefited the performance of class A shares, and there is a good linkage effect between Hong Kong and mainland capital markets.
