President Donald Trump on Saturday ordered troops to the city of Portland, Oregon, and said he would authorize "all-out measures" to fight crime if necessary. "At the request of Secretary of Homeland Security Christie Noam, I have directed Secretary of War Peter Hegseth to deploy all necessary troops to protect the war-torn city of Portland and any of our ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] facilities that are under attack by Antifa and other domestic terrorists," Trump wrote in a post on the Truth Social platform. "I also authorize all-out measures, if necessary." The post did not specify whether he was referring to the National Guard or the regular military.
