Kraken raised a $500 million seed round at a valuation of $15 billion. The company is eyeing an initial public offering (IPO) in 2026. The round closed this month without a single lead investor, and Kraken set its own terms. Participants included investment management firms, venture capital firms, and Tribe Capital of CEO Arjun Sethi, who also participated personally.
Founded in 2011, the exchange has raised more than $527 million after initially raising $27 million.
