KPMG Releases Fintech Pulse Report for the First Half of 2025: Investment Activities Focused on Payments and Cryptocurrencies

Accounting firm KPMG has released the "Fintech Pulse Report for the First Half of 2025". Singapore's fintech sector rebounded in the first half of 2025 with a total of 90 deals completed, attracting investment of nearly $1.04 billion. The transaction value increased by about 87% year-on-year compared to the first half of 2024 and 28% compared to the second half of 2024. Investment activity is concentrated in the payment, cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence and machine learning fields. Among them, the payment field transactions cover early and late financing rounds, while the cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence fields are mainly concentrated in early stage investment. Worldwide, fintech investments totaled $44.70 billion in the first half of 2025 with 2,216 deals, down from $54.20 billion in the second half of 2024 (2,376 deals).
