On September 26th, Scilex Holdings (NASDAQ: SCLX) announced today that it will invest $150 million in Bitcoin in Datavault AI (NASDAQ: DVLT). The investment is designed to accelerate the expansion of Datavault's supercomputing infrastructure building and independent data exchange platform. Under the agreement, Scilex will receive approximately 279 million shares of Datavault common stock at a price of approximately $0.54 per share.
The partnership will focus on the biotech data monetization market, which is expected to reach $300- $50 billion in 2024. Datavault will leverage its Web 3.0 and blockchain technologies to provide data security and monetization solutions for the biotech sector.
