On September 25th, Simon Gerovich, CEO of Metaplanet, a Japanese bitcoin treasury company, disclosed in a post that Capital Group has become the largest shareholder of Metaplanet, currently holding 11.45% and has a market value of nearly $500 million. Capital Group is a 94-year-old mutual fund giant known for its conservative investment style. Its holdings in bitcoin-related stocks have grown from $1 billion to more than $6 billion.
