On September 25th, GoPlus officials posted on social media that the abnormal coinage situation of GAIN may be due to unauthorized LayerZero Peer initialization and malicious use, similar to the Yala attack that occurred some time ago.
The attacker (possibly a mole or through a member of the social worker project) initialized an extra LayerZero Peer on ETH and minted TTTTT, exploited the misconfigured Peer, bypassed cross-chain verification, and minted 5 billion GAINs on the BSC.
