The Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced the agenda and participating members of the September 29 Joint Roundtable on Regulatory Coordination, which is reported to include discussions on the relationship between the SEC and the CFTC, discussions on how regulatory coordination can continue to protect investors while unlocking the economic value of the platform, and discussions on how regulatory coordination can increase choice for market participants and reduce costs for investors. Former CFTC Chairperson J. Christopher Giancarlo, Director of Trading and Markets at the Securities Exchange Commission Jamie Selway, and others will participate.
