U.S. Trade Representative: Trade deal to be finalized with some South East Asia countries in weeks or months

US stock index futures were less volatile in the short term, with all three major stock index futures slightly higher. Jamison Greer, the US trade representative, said Washington expected to finalise trade deals with a number of South East Asia countries within weeks. "President Trump and I are proud of the work we've done together around these agreements and expect to finalise some of them in the coming months and weeks," Mr. Greer said on the sidelines of a meeting of Asean economic ministers in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday. It was the first high-level meeting between Asean and the US since the imposition of so-called reciprocal tariffs in August.
