In the next step, China will, as always, firmly safeguard the multilateral trading system, and is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with all parties to contribute to promoting the construction of an open world economy. First, take a clear stand against unilateralism and protectionism, and safeguard the basic principles and rules of the WTO such as non-discrimination. Second, promote the WTO rules to keep pace with the times, and promote the early incorporation of investment facilitation agreements and e-commerce agreements into the WTO legal framework. The third is to focus on the development dimension and promote the development-oriented and practical results of the 14th WTO Ministerial Conference to be held in March 2026.
