European Central Bank: Digital Euro could be launched by mid-2029

On September 24th, according to Bloomberg, Piero Cipollone, a member of the executive board of the European Central Bank, said today that the digital euro may be officially launched in mid-2029. He revealed that the euro zone finance officials reached an agreement on the digital euro customer holding quota last week, which injected new impetus into the project.
