Cathie Wood's fund reopened its position in Alibaba (BABA. N) for the first time in four years. Two of Wood's ETFs bought Alibaba ADR on Monday, worth about $16.30 million in total, according to a daily trading report published by Ark Investment Management. On Tuesday, Alibaba ADR hit its highest level since November 2021, nearly doubling year-to-date. Ark's first investment in Alibaba dates back to 2014, shortly after the company went public that year, according to the SEC search tool. But after September 2021, no investment or proxy voting records could be found. This latest investment could mark another start for Ark to expand its investment in China's internet sector.
