On September 23rd, UXLINK released an update on the migration of UXLINK token contracts: At present, there is an unauthorized issuance of UXLINK tokens, which goes against the content of the UXLINK white paper and undermines the community consensus. Key CEX partners have been communicated about the planned token swap, and they have all expressed their full support. A new smart contract has been submitted for security audit. The new contract will set a fixed token supply, ensuring that no additional tokens will be issued. At the same time, the issue-destruction function, which is usually used for cross-chain solutions and is designed to protect the interests of the community, has been removed.
It is also responding to inquiries from DAXA, the Korean Association of Digital Asset Exchanges, and will work with security expert partners to prepare a comprehensive incident report. Previously, UXLINK said that multi-signature wallets suffered security bugs and funds were illegally transferred.
