The three major U.S. stock indexes collectively closed up, the Dow rose 0.14%, the Nasdaq rose 0.7%, the S & P 500 rose 0.44%, and most large technology stocks rose. Oracle rose more than 6%, Apple rose more than 4%, Nvidia rose nearly 4%, and Amazon, Meta, and Broadcom fell more than 1%.
