On September 20th, US President Trump signed an executive order called the "Gold Card" on the 19th, saying that it will open a new visa channel for "foreigners with extraordinary ability and willingness to support the United States": individuals pay $1 million to the US Treasury, or pay $2 million sponsored by companies, and can get accelerated visa approval through this "Gold Card" program. Trump said on social media platforms that the US immigration system is in urgent need of reform, and it is expected that the "Trump Gold Card" will soon bring in far more than $100 billion. The funds will be used for tax cuts, programs to promote economic growth, and repayment of national debt. "Buy the Trump Gold Card now," Mr. Trump wrote in another post, linking to a government website that said applicants could receive a "Trump Gold Card" for $1 million, after passing the review and paying the relevant fees, to obtain permanent residency status.
