The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has released a new policy address on September 17. At a press conference this afternoon (20th), the Deputy Secretary for Home Affairs of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Cheuk Wing-hing, announced the work arrangement of the "AI Effectiveness Enhancement Team", which refers to the team's initiative to review the department's business processes and technology applications, and provide targeted AI applications, digital transformation and process reorganization solutions, improve service efficiency and quality, promote service innovation applications and make good use of resources. Cheuk Wing-hing said that the "AI Effectiveness Enhancement Team" will formulate a work plan and timetable in November this year, and submit a report to the Chief Executive. The goal is to take forward related projects next year, including the launch of AI tools covering 100 government affairs links in 2026, and the launch of AI flagship projects in 2026-2027 and 2027-2028.
