A federal judge on Friday dismissed a $15 billion defamation lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump against The New York Times, calling Trump's legal complaint a malicious plea that violates basic court prosecution requirements.
The dismissal order, issued by U.S. Judge Steven Merryday, came just four days after Trump filed his lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Florida. He gave Trump's lawyers 28 days to file a new version of the complaint.
