OpenAI has reached an agreement with Lixun Precision to jointly produce future OpenAI devices

On September 19, according to US media Information, Apple device assembler Lixun Precision has won an assembly contract for at least one OpenAI device. In addition, OpenAI has also approached Goertek, which assembles AirPods, Home Pods and Apple Watch, to supply components such as speaker modules for its future products. OpenAI plans to launch its first device in late 2026 or early 2027.
