The Federal Reserve's rate cut clears the way for private companies waiting for the "green light" to launch initial public offerings in the US. Industry watchers said companies ranging from technology to services were expected to file for public IPOs or start roadshows in the coming days and weeks following the Fed's rate cut. Many companies considering an autumn listing had been waiting for the Fed's decision to cut interest rates, while also closely monitoring the performance of newly listed companies. West Riggs, head of equity capital markets at American Trust Securities, said: "There are definitely a number of companies waiting for the rate cut to come to fruition to make sure there are no surprises. The IPO calendar is expected to be very busy in October."
