The 51-47 party-line vote confirmed the president for a series of deputy cabinet positions and ambassadors, including Brandon Williams, a former Republican from New York, as undersecretary for nuclear security; Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News host, as US ambassador to Greece; and Callista Gingrich, wife of the former House speaker, as US ambassadors to Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
