Google is fully integrating its Gemini artificial intelligence model into its Chrome browser just two weeks after dodging an antitrust lawsuit that threatened to break up the business. It said it would be available to Chrome users in the US from Thursday. The AI model could allow users to request explanations of web pages visited, consolidate information from multiple tabs and even restore previously closed websites. Google will also integrate Gemini in the Chrome with other Google apps such as Calendar, YouTube and Maps after a US court ruled that Google did not need to spin off Chrome browser.
