Canadian police seize the largest cryptocurrency asset in history

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) announced today (September 18) that it has successfully executed the largest cryptocurrency seizure in the country's history in Montreal, seizing more than $56 million worth of cryptoassets. In this operation, the police successfully shut down the cryptocurrency trading platform TradeOgre for the first time. According to the investigation, the platform is suspected of providing money laundering channels for criminal organizations because it is not registered with the Canadian financial regulator and does not require users to verify their identities.
