Three U.S. senators ask Justice Department about Binance compliance

US Senator Elizabeth Warren, along with Senators Keiko Hirono of Hawaii and Blumenthal of Connecticut, sent a letter of questioning to Attorney General Bondi asking for confirmation that Binance was fulfilling the requirements of the 2023 settlement agreement. The agreement previously required Binance to pay a $4.30 billion fine for money laundering and sanctions violations. Although Binance has paid the fine, its compliance monitoring remains a concern. Senators also expressed concern about Binance's dealings with World Liberty Financial, a Trump family affiliate.
