U.S. stocks opened with the Dow up 0.08%, the S & P 500 up 0.41% and the Nasdaq up 0.78%. Intel (INTC. O) rose 27% and NVIDIA (NVDA. O) rose 2.43%. Affected by the news that NVIDIA will buy a stake in Intel, the semiconductor sector strengthened, and ASML (ASML. O) rose 6.4%. AMD (AMD. O) fell 5.41% and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM. N) fell 0.95%.
