The British government is touting investments totalling 150 billion pounds (about $205 billion) from US companies, including deals related to the first British-made US aircraft in more than 50 years. As Trump wrapped up a state dinner with Britain's King Charles III on Wednesday, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) said the pledges from companies such as Blackstone, software firm Palantir Technologies and logistics company Prologis would create 7,600 jobs. DBT said most of the funding would come from Blackstone, which plans to invest 90 billion pounds in different projects, in addition to 10 billion pounds in previously announced data center development. The investment giant has previously said it plans to invest up to $500 billion in Europe over the next 10 years, and sources said the UK investment commitment is part of that.
