A slew of cryptocurrency ETF applications were filed with the US SEC on Tuesday, with five different filings covering areas ranging from Avalanche infrastructure to Bonk (BONK). One analyst described this as entering "wild" territory. According to NateGeraci, co-founder of the ETF Institute, the lineup includes:
Bitwise's Spot Avalanche ETF and a stablecoin and tokenized ETF.
ETFs submitted by Defiance ETFs based on Bitcoin and Ethereum Basis Trade;
The Income Blast fund submitted by Tuttle includes Bonk (BONK), Litecoin (LTC), and Sui (SUI).
2X leveraged Orbs ETF submitted by T-Rex.
The new filings bring the total number of cryptocurrency ETF applications currently awaiting SEC approval to more than 90. "The spot AVAX ETF has the highest likelihood of approval because it is simpler than other products," said Pratik Kala, head of research at Apollo Crypto. Bitwise has joined VanEck and Grayscale in seeking to offer institutional investors access to AVAX ETFs.
Analysis: The total number of cryptocurrency ETF applications currently awaiting SEC approval exceeds 90, with the Avalanche ETF most likely to be approved
